The Control of Waste (Dealing with Seized Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015

Made: 03-03-2015 | Laid: 05-03-2015 | Forced: 06-04-2015

Overview

These regulations establish the procedures that waste collection authorities (in Wales, it is Natural Resources Wales) must follow once they have seized property, such as a vehicle and/or its contents, including mobile plant machinery, (under the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989 or the Environmental Protection Act 1990) because they suspect it has been involved in offences concerning the transport or disposal of waste, such as fly-tipping.

These regulations only apply to Local Authorities and the Environment Agency. They are not applicable to commercial and industrial businesses. Please refer to the legislation directly if you are unsure.
