PAS 2060

Overview

PAS 2060 is the internationally applicable specification for the demonstration of carbon neutrality. Verification against this Publicly Available Standard (PAS) 2060 is applicable for  organizations of all sizes and sectors.

PAS 2060 lays out the process for demonstrating the management process for how:

1. Carbon data is collected and maintained in an organisation
2. How the organisation commits to achieving carbon neutrality in a specific time-period
3. Demonstrating a management programme that will reduce actual carbon emissions
4. Demonstrating how carbon offsets are used to mitigate emissions

PAS 2060 uses recognised methodologies such as the Greenhouse Gas protocol (GHG) to categorise and calculate carbon emissions.
