Made: 24-11-1997 | Laid: 28-11-1997 | Forced: 01-04-1998

Overview

The Diving at Work Regulations 1997 impose requirements and conditions on people who dive for work. ‘Diving at work’ covers a wide range of activities from deep saturation diving in support of the offshore oil and gas industry to recreational instruction by a professional instructor.

The diving industry consists of many sectors where people need to go underwater to work. With the exception of recreational diving, it is mainly a method of getting to a work site that happens to be underwater.
