This Republic of Ireland Act makes provisions governing the employment relationship between employers and employees. To accomplish this, the Act provides for the establishment of the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), dissolving all previous bodies, such as the Labour Relations Commission and Employment Appeals Tribunal, and transferring all relevant functions to the new WRC.
