An Act to consolidate certain enactments and provisions relating to town and country planning in Scotland. The Act governs the Scottish planning system, and ensures that future development and use of land in cities, towns and rural areas is sustainable, with objectives to promote sustainable economic development, encourage regeneration and maintain and enhance the quality of the natural heritage and built environment in Scotland.
