Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994

Overview

This Act governs commercial contracts and the sale of certain types of goods in the UK, as well as details the rights of purchasers and duties of sellers in the sale of goods. The Act applies to the sale of:

• specific goods;
• future goods; and
• un-ascertained goods,

and states that when you buy a product it should be as described, fit for purpose and of a satisfactory quality.
