The Environmental Protection (Plastic Plates etc. and Polystyrene Containers etc.) (England) Regulations 2023 aim to reduce environmental pollution by restricting the supply of certain single-use plastic items and polystyrene containers. The Regulations restrict the supply of single-use plastic plates, bowls, trays, cutlery, balloon sticks, and expanded and foamed extruded polystyrene (EPS/XPS) food and drink containers, including cups.
